Kadoya Gallery exhibits, publishes, and promotes contemporary fine art photography, showcasing the work of emerging artists. The Gallery engages a spectrum of people in its activities; displays a broad historical, cultural, and aesthetic range of photography; manages well-considered collections as well as the work of established and emerging artists worldwide; and educates the public when photographic images become worthy of serious attention. In addition, the Gallery manages and refines photography collections, with the aim of ensuring excellence, relevance, and encyclopedic breadth.

Juried Exhibitions

The Kadoya Gallery showcases the work of emerging artists that demonstrates creative integrity with intent and originality. The narrative content and aesthetic qualities of each photograph, along with the highest level of craftsmanship, is the main priority in selection of work. The Kadoya Gallery features an annual juried Photography Show. Jurors include curators, gallerists, professors, critics, and seasoned professionals who are highly respected in the field of contemporary fine arts photography. All photographic exhibitions have a corresponding full color catalogue that is available for purchase in the gallery, and from our on-line store. Although we do not provide monetary awards, a Juror’s Choice and Director’s Choice Winner will be announced. Awards and prizes for juried exhibitions includes a free copy of the exhibition catalogue and will be featured on our on-line presence.

Biography of Kellie Cason O'Connor

Kellie Cason O’Connor is the Curator of Photography at Kadoya Gallery. She received her BFA in Photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2005, mentored by Nicholas Nixon, Laura McPhee, Frank Gohlke, and Abelardo Morell. Kellie works in medium and large format film photography. Kellie’s current works consist of imagery that addresses the reclamation of nature and the relational aspects between humankind and nature. Her other works include works based in her Appalachian roots and documentary work of the Quiche Mayan culture based in Guatemala. Kellie’s works have appeared in Lenscratch, Fototazo, Update, and F-Stop Magazines. She currently resides in Pueblo, Colorado, where she continues to photograph professionally.

In addition, the Gallery manages and refines collections of fine art paintings, with the aim of ensuring excellence, relevance, and encyclopedic breadth.

Biography of Mike Strescino

Near the end of his teens, Michael left high school and decided to embark on a journey of a lifetime. He postponed college and a career so that he could travel the world. Over the years he has lived in the Hawaiian Islands, road the trains through Europe and spent months in Southeast Asia. He encountered people of all walks of life and developed friendships with individuals who did not share a common language with him. His experiences have helped him develop not only a love for the creative process, but also about the power and importance of craftsmanship. Most importantly he got to know himself better.

Now ten years later he is nearly  finished with college and pursuing a life in the arts.  Currently he lives in Pueblo, Colorado but he is not sure where he will end up.

The Gallery engages a spectrum of people in its activities; displays a broad historical, cultural, and aesthetic range of ceramic art; manages well-considered collections as well as the work of established and emerging artists worldwide; and educates the public when ceramic art becomes worthy of serious attention. In addition, the Gallery manages and refines collections of ceramic art, with the aim of ensuring excellence, relevance, and encyclopedic breadth.

Biography of Shane Jarrett

Shane Jarrett, a Colorado transplant, moved to Colorado in 1994 to attend college at Colorado State University-Pueblo. While studying under Vicky Hansen, professor of ceramics, he chose pottery as a career. Shane found home at the Clay Pen in Colorado Springs working as a production potter. He then began working with local pueblo artist Ken Williams creating public art, sculpture and Pottery. In 2003 he began his artist in residence at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center. He taught classes, made work and showed in galleries until 2012. In 1997 he started Jarrett Pottery and focuses on pottery, sculpture and public art.

riki takaoka

Music Platform


Riki Takaoka is an accomplished solo jazz guitarist with a passion for improvisation and melodic composition. He regularly performs live at Kadoya Gallery and across the Pacific in the Hawaiian Islands. He enjoys performing with a variety of artists and experimenting with tonality and harmony.  Presently he is working as Curator of Music for Kadoya Gallery and preparing for the release of a special DVD featuring original musical compositions by local Pueblo musicians. Proceeds from the sales of this DVD will go back to charitable enterprises in Pueblo and Southern Colorado.  



Fine Art Platform

In addition to Riki's musical creative genius, he is a trained illustrator with a solid sense of shape and contrast. He is well known for his powerful black and white drawings in his famous sketchbook.  As an extraordinary fine artist and curator, Riki will assist Kadoya Gallery in showcasing fine artists in their respective genres.
