Shane Jarrett, a Colorado transplant, moved to Colorado in 1994 to attend college at Colorado State University -Pueblo. While studying under Vicky Hansen, professor of ceramics, he chose pottery as a career. Shane found home at the Clay Pen in Colorado Springs working as a production potter. He then began working with local pueblo artist Ken Williams creating public art, sculpture and Pottery. In 2003 he began his artist in residence at the Sangre de Cristo Arts
Center. He taught classes, made work and showed in galleries until 2012. In 1997 he started Jarrett Pottery and focuses on pottery, sculpture and public art.
