The Making of Creative Genius

Creative Genius captures the powerful story of how a handful of individuals came together in December 2012 with a shared vision to create a visual and performing arts platform in Downtown Pueblo on Central Plaza. In just four years, Kadoya Gallery showcased the 'future of the past' in the Historic Tutt Building and empowered creatives to amplify the narrative of their stories to the local community and beyond. This new creative endeavor embraced Pueblo's own unique story where history, culture and  the arts empower discovery each and every day.

The success of Kadoya Gallery could not have been possible without the support of the community and the depth of artistic talent in this region of the United States. As a Thank You to Pueblo and the artist's community, Kadoya Gallery is publishing a comprehensive catalog and resource guide titled Creative Genius. The publication includes introductions written by some of Pueblo's most creative and successful individuals who are at the forefront of innovation in our creative economy. The book not only serves as an wonderful archive of the events and activities of Kadoya Gallery, but also serves as a tool for connecting with our creatives in Pueblo.

The release of Creative Genius will coincide with the re-opening of Kadoya Gallery in May 2018 at Watertower Place in the historic Grove Neighborhood of Pueblo. To commemorate the start of the next generation of the Gallery, the opening exhibition will be a retrospective of the same name honoring the more than 100 artists who helped build the gallery during its early years.

As an alumnus of Kadoya Gallery, you are invited to participate in this special celebration which will signal the beginning of the next generation of Kadoya Gallery at Watertower Place.
